RRBs/Co-op Banks: FINnet Gateway Go-Live Oct 20, CD Reports End

Current · Source: Reserve Bank of India · RBI/2012-13/251 · issued 15 Oct 2012 · ~2 min read
Quick answerFIU-IND has set October 20, 2012 as the go-live date for FINnet Gateway. From that date, all RRBs and State/Central Co-operative Banks must upload reports in new XML format via FINnet only; CD submissions will be invalid.
The rule, in the simplest words
How it plays out — a real example

Ramesh Kumar, the compliance officer at a Regional Rural Bank in Patna, logs into the FINnet Gateway on 19 Oct 2012, checks that his XML report is correctly formatted, and uploads it on 20 Oct 2012. After that day he stops preparing CD reports, knowing the bank will stay compliant.

What changed

FIU-IND has confirmed October 20, 2012 as the go-live date for the FINnet Gateway. Banks must stop submitting reports in CD format after this date and use only the FINnet gateway with the new XML reporting format. Any CD-based report received after October 20 will not be considered a valid submission.

What it means for you

RRBs and co-operative banks must complete their migration to the FINnet Gateway by October 20, 2012. Failure to upload reports in the new XML format via FINnet will result in non-compliance, as FIU-IND will reject CD submissions. This is a hard deadline for transitioning to digital reporting.

What you must do

Who it affects

All Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), All State Co-operative Banks, All Central Co-operative Banks, Compliance Officers and Principal Officers of these banks
