No cookies, no trackers. This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party servers. The short version. We ask for your email so we can send you the daily brief. We do not sell your data. We do not put advertising trackers on this site. You can leave at any time with one click. You can also ask us to delete everything we hold about you.
1. Who we are
This site is published by Bank Pulse AI ("we", "us"), an independent publisher of a daily brief on Indian banking regulation at bankpulse.ai. We are not the Reserve Bank of India and we are not connected to it.
For anything about your personal data, write to contactus@bankpulse.ai. This is our grievance contact. We aim to reply within 7 working days.
2. What we collect, and why
If you subscribe to the daily brief

What we do not collect at signup, though you might expect us to. We do not ask your role. We do not keep which page you signed up from. Your browser sends it. Our server throws it away without reading it. We do not receive or store your IP address. Until 28 August 2026 this page said we collected all three. That was wrong, and it was wrong in our favour. It described a company that gathers more than this one does.
If you create an account
Your email, your name, your chosen role, and the items you save. Your login is handled by Supabase Auth. We never see or store your password.
If you comment on a rule page (from 5 September 2026)
We keep your comment, the name you chose, the page it is on, and the time. Your name and comment are public. Every reader of that page can see them. Your email is never shown. You can delete any comment you wrote. "Delete my data" on your account page removes your member record and all your comments. BankPulse can hide a comment that breaks the discussion rules. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us only your name and email.
If you rate an edition
The score you gave, your comment if you wrote one, and which edition it was. Ratings are not tied to your name.
If you switch on browser notifications
The technical address your browser gives us so it can receive a push message. It does not tell us who you are.
What stays on your own device and never reaches us
Some things are stored in your own browser only. We cannot read them. They are the items you bookmarked, the institution and role you picked, and your reading streak. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
These are the exact names your own browser stores:
bp_bookmarks_v1, bp_myview_inst,
bp_myview_role, bp_last_visit_date,
bp_streak_count.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data. Not to anyone, at any price.
- We do not run advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no advertising cookie here.
- You can check that yourself. Open your browser's network tab and look at what this page loads.
- We do not use your data to train an AI model.
- We do not send you anything you did not ask for. You get the daily brief. That is all.
4. Confirming that you really asked to join
When you enter your email, you are not subscribed yet. We send you one email with a confirm link. Until you click that link, you get nothing else from us. This is called double opt-in and it is there so that nobody can sign you up without your knowledge.
If you never click it, we stop. We send at most 3 reminder emails in 24 hours, and never more often than once every 10 minutes.
5. Who else handles your data
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.

Your subscriber record sits on a server in India. Sending an email necessarily moves your address outside India, because our email provider is in the EU. If you do not want that, do not subscribe by email. The website is free to read without giving us anything.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights, and how to use them
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, you have these rights. We honour them for everyone, wherever you are.

We do not charge for any of this and we will not make it difficult.
8. Children
BankPulse is written for people who work in banking. It is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we will delete the record.
9. Keeping it safe
Data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Database access is restricted by row-level security rules. Administrator access to the database is held by the founder and by the automated agent that builds this site. Nobody else has it.
We say this plainly for a reason. Until 28 August 2026 this page said the founder alone had it. That was not true. No system is perfectly safe, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach happens that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
What changed on 28 August 2026
Every line of this policy was checked against the code that runs the site. Four things were wrong and are now corrected.
- We said we collected your role at signup. We do not ask for it.
- We said we recorded which page you signed up from. Your browser sends it and our server discards it.
- We said we kept your IP address. We never receive it.
- We said only the founder could administer the database. The software that builds this site can too.
Nothing you gave us was used for anything this page did not already allow. The corrections are also published, dated, on the corrections page.
10. When this policy changes
If we change something that matters, we will change the date at the top of this page. We will also say what changed in the daily brief. We will not quietly rewrite it.
11. Third-party links
We link to RBI and to news sites so you can check every fact yourself. Once you click away, that website's own privacy policy applies, not ours.
