Must know

1. Follow UAPA Order

Banks must follow the Unlawful Activities Order of February 02, 2021, as changed on April 22, 2024.

Do it

1. Use UNSC lists

Banks must use United Nations Security Council terrorist lists that are approved and sent out from time to time.

2. Act as per Directions

Banks must act as per Chapter IX of the Reserve Bank know your customer Directions for this update.

3. Use updated lists

Banks must use the latest United Nations lists of persons and firms linked to ISIL, Al-Qaida and Taliban.

4. Forward delisting requests

Banks must email every delisting request they get to the Joint Secretary (CTCR), Ministry of Home Affairs.

5. Note UNSC update

Banks must note these United Nations Security Council updates and follow them with full care.
