Find your rules by product

A gold loan officer should not read a hundred points to reach four. This page sorts every point on the site by the product it names in RBI's own wording.

This is not the whole of your rulebook.

  • 1,237 points on this site name a product. 17,394 name none.
  • The unnamed ones bind every product. They are the larger part of the law.
  • RBI writes rules by subject and by risk, not product by product. Only its statistics are sorted by product.
  • So a product page narrows what you read first. It never shortens what binds you.

Where the list came from

The products above follow the classification the Reserve Bank publishes each month in its table of Sectoral Deployment of Bank Credit. The deposit, payment, trade and foreign exchange families are added because banks staff them as departments.

No point carries a product label unless the product's own name appears in the text. The words that earned each label are printed beside it, so a reader can disagree with us.
